it can be difficult to tell if she is really not hearing you (because she has earphones on) or if she is ignoring you.
so what do you do when this happens?
this happens to me a lot, i say something and the girl seems like she didnt hear me.

When somebody is actively ignoring you, they are implicitly saying you aren't important; they are, in effect, attempting to devalue you, to suggest what you say isn't important.

The motivation behind this behavior can be varied, of course. A person may feel they aren't being heard, so in turn make overt gestures to let you know you're being ignored, or they simply may not value you as a person and aren't being mindful of your presence.

If you say.. "Oh nevermind." Alittle louder they wil usually say "OH wait what?" like if they didt hear you... then just dont tell them and they are at a loss in their mind.

I'd use that as a excuse to ramp up on the kino ladder - touch her with the excuse that you wanted to tell her something, her curiosity will make her forget the touch in 1/2 a second flat; and will make her pay attention

When they've got earplugs in it means they - for whatever reason - do not want to be bothered. Whether they do or do not hear you is thus irrelevant.
I'm sure you'll find girls on a bus or subway without earplugs in. Don't make pick-up any harder than it has to be. There's this quote of AFC Adam I remember in a documentary he stars: "Do not chase bad sets, there's no point." Girls with earplugs in are bad sets.

well man, get eye contact first, if she doesn't hear you the first time, tap her on the shoulder and just repeat, if she all of a sudden is giving you one word answers keeping shit as short as possible, or is looking anywhere but at you (playing with phone etc.) then you can assume she doesn't want to talk to you, so screw her, stop paying attention to her, if you want to break rapport (plow through), then go for it, but really even if you pass bitch sheild and plow, it is a waste of time, plenty of girls will just think you are hot and actually want to talk to you, eye contact first always, even with earphones on people have an accute idea of their surroundings and when someone is staring at you, the natural response is to look at them, once she makes eye contact speak, she will see your mouth moving, if she ignores, she is just being a bitch and dis-interest should be shown (actively or passively, don't de-value yourself for her)
