I decided to freeze out this girl b/c she flaked. So, I didn't text her for 2 weeks and when I saw her again, I acted normal but not interested in her and flirted with this other girl hardcore. Then, About 5-6 days later I get this text message. Her goes the conversation.
HB: Is everything okay between us?
ME: lol. I thought so. Why? Were you the one who stole my sandwich from the refrigerator? Cause if you did, we definitely have problems.
HB: I dunno, just checking. Haha and no, I didn't steal your sandwich. You should be proud of me, I finished my reading before class!
ME: Good, I didn't take you for a thief. We should meet up for a study session this week. What's a good time for you?
HB: pretty much anytime
ME: cool. time and place
HB: Yep that works for me : )
What you guys think? Is this what a successful freeze should look like?
I think you bitched out quite a bit here. This girl flaked on you. That should be not cool. Refer to my post above on how I view freeze outs.
If she asked me if everything was ok with us, well it wouldn't be. If it was, we'd still be talking. I would've given her an answer like "Didn't really put much thought into it. Why?" and left it at that, instead of diverting to flirty fluff talk.
Basically, I am going to let her know that she really doesn't mean that much to me, so that completely unacceptable thing she did to me didn't affect my life so much, while guilt tripping her at the same time.
Sometimes they will try to make it seem like you're just being a dick, but you're not. She wasted your time. You had plans. She flaked. You could've made other plans instead but you allotted that time for her. Make sure you maintain your frame of, anything to say now about it is justified, and what she did was lame.
She will then apologize and make it up to you...in bed.
