I was at a new years eve party last night and there was an HB10 that i know from one of my classes. She tried talking to me about a trip i just took, but i was clearly in the middle of a game of beerpong, so i told her i would talk to her after. My buddy takes a photo of us, it goes to fb. i'm still talking to my buddy, and she is sort of involved.
Heres the odd part. she randomly gets up, grabs her purse and goes outside. no words, just does it. i dont follow, and i had no idea wtf just happened. later, i go outside to smoke some weed, and she is sitting by the fire in between two guys she doesnt know and isnt even talking to. its cold as hell outside. so i was kind of perplexed on what the deal was.
I go inside later, and i catch her looking at me, but figure something put her in an off mood so i didnt bother to talk to her. by the end of the night, she is leaving and comes up to me asking for a hug. i give her a big one and she looks happy and giggles.
so basically wtf. maybe i should have involved her more in the convo, or maybe something happened but i have no clue. after reading that, do you guys have any idea what might of happened? i generally can understand why a girl had a certain reaction to a certain thing, but this one just stumped me so any ideas???

honestly, who gives a shit? Nobody. Then why would you care what got into her mind? Why would you spend energy on figuring out what she might be thinking or doing? honestly, you shouldnt.
For me this looks like the following: You see this girl (again). She shows interest in you and what you do (or have done). This makes you feel better and more confident, and you believe that you have a shot at this girl. So unconsiously, you are looking for hints and checking if she still likes you. If her behaviour is appropiate and in direct line of "she likes me". All of a sudden, she does something not in line according to you, and that is the most dangerous point in a seduction or interaction with women.
Man, you didnt do anything wrong to trigger the thing she did. She might have gone outside for a cigarette, perhaps a phone call, perhaps she wanted to see if you would follow her, perhaps she just wanted to be outside. Perhaps... the reason is not all that important...?
The only regretfull thing is that you didnt told her you like her and want to see her again. (i dont know if you did, your story doesnt tell). Then perhaps you should have talked to her, get to know her. But if she just was nice for that one evening, why care? Why break your mind on it?
