So here's the thing. Some girls from my college have begun to "like" my musical tastes: When I listen to music on a program called Spotify, It will sometimes publish what I'm listening to on my wall. 90% of the time, these are girls I've had small conversations with on my college's Facebook group, and I've added them as friends (sometimes they add me). Now say what you want about Glee (I thought I wouldn't like it until my sister made me watch an episode), but it has definitely helped me connect with women I don't know that well. If I am online when they like it, then I have a great opportunity to start a conversation about the show ("you like Glee too?! I wouldn't have picked you for a fan"). I think it's a great opener and because of the assumed audience of the show, it provides you with a false disqualifier which makes you appear less threatening to her and more friendly and social. you can then segway into other material. just make sure your online personality and your actual personality matches up. what are your thoughts on indirectly showing a softer side?

I wouldn't consider it "indirectly showing a softer side". Its a pretty direct softer side and to be honest, I think you're getting positive reactions in the "He can be my gay best friend" type of way. It's not a very alpha hobby. Ultimately it depends on what your intentions are with these girls. If you are an artsy drama kid than continue to be so, but don't focus your pickup around glee and stuff like that because I don't think it will help you be successful in general situations especially if your trying to target a mixed crowd.

i see what you mean with the gay best friend problem. Also I think it would be better used to get a friends with benefits situation rather then just a lay or two. like you could still hang out with the girl and be yourself instead of constantly thinking about material and using it in the right order. I've gotten a K-close after starting a conversation with this and talking with her until early hours in the morning. we kissed after hanging out for a couple of hours the next day.

It doesn't sound very efficient, but I think my slower form of pick up might be better for my situation because I go to a relatively small college so it's pretty small closed social system. I believe that by building attraction with one foot in the friend zone, there wont be hard feelings or awkward eye contact if you pass her after a week after fucking her. also it makes the sex more passionate because it'll be more important to you what she thinks of it and her to you. It's better suited for highschool or small college game. I like it because sometimes you can have the best of both world by having sex with her and being her friend.

What part of that says, Attraction, Dominate, Protector, Alpha, Sexual Threat?

I understand Attraction, Dominate, Protector & Alpha, but Sexual Threat? How are you supposed to do that without being accused of being pervy/creepy? Girls hate creepy, pervy guys.

Also, aren't you supposed to create some level of comfort, in addition to raw attraction?
