Do any of you get depressed? and you feel as if everything in life seemed pointless, and you didn't care about anything any more.I feel like that from time to time,especially when I realise there's a huge difference between the person I want to be and the person I am at the moment.

When I'm in this mood i get negative thoughts for a long time..Like I will never progress in life and will never reach the goals i have set for myself.

If any of you guys have been there and have felt like this before..My question is How do you get out of it??

I get that a lot. The trick is (and I know this sounds sappy/queer/etc) to find love for yourself. Embrace your personal hobbies and analyze your strengths in life. Do what makes you happy and the depression will pass. Just give yourself time and don't rush it. It sounds like you're being hard on yourself for some reason - why?

You can read all the tips and all the advice in the world but remember this. THE ONLY PERSON WHO CAN HELP YOU IS YOU, THE ONLY PERSON WHO CARES ABOUT YOUR RESULTS IS YOU! Your posts are a great example of why inner game is the most important thing to master. The trouble is confidence comes with seeing results, but there are other things you can do to help.

I have felt like this several times in life, I have looked at others with envy wishing I could have what they have. I came to the realisation that I need to continue to evolve and improve, I need to change my life. You can read all the material you want but you need to take action.

My advice is to forget about pick up for a little while and think about what you can change about your life to make you a happier and more satisfied person and set attainable goals and clear methods to achieve these goals. This will help you become a more complete person and will massively help in pick up.

I agree with both bane and snarg.

I think most people feel like that at times in their life. I dont really have something to counter it, the mood just has to pass. Music usually speeds up the process.

But what it would be for you, i have no clue dude.

This has to do with more than just pick up Jig. The reason you feel as you described is because you have certain expectations that are not met. You want to be such and such person and if you didn't accomplish that you feel your life is worthless. The reason this happens is because your expectations are more than what you get. This can be explained as follows,

(HIGH EXPECTATIONS) + (LOW RESULTS)=(NOT HAPPY)

(LOW EXPECTATIONS or MEDIUM EXPECTATIONS) + (HIGH RESULTS)= (HAPPY)

You apply the first formula to your life and therefore feel the way you do. You need to change your mindset a little bit and expect to have a tough time. When you'll be ready for hardship you wont feel down because you'll know it's the process and things wont be like this forever. Look at Bill Gates and Steve Jobs they both when starting out with their companies used to work 24 hours a day and for long time saw no results. They succeeded only because they understood that it may take them more than just one month or one year of really hard work to succeed. I had this kind of feeling also not too long ago. It might be a bit hard at the beginning but as you go on it will become a routine nothing hard.

The main thing is to be yourself. It seems to me that the reason you feel like this Jig is because you hold a lot of emotions within yourself and don't do or say exactly what you want because of some reason. You are afraid to be yourself for some reason. Many people have this. The way to fix this is to understand that you are you no matter what anyone says. Your opinion is important to you and it doesn't make a difference of what other will think of you. Remember when other people think of you bad or good wont affect them, the only person that will be affected by their opinion is you (if you act upon their opinion). The people who think of you as weird or as different will go home and live their lives as they did. But if you take their thinking of you to heart you will take that opinion home with you and things will change. The main thing is to be yourself, understand that your important, and understand that your the most important person in the world as far as your concerned. Good luck!

Few important points


Do not allow any contradictory thoughts to take root in your mind.
Have you ever started to think about something you were not happy about, and the more you thought about it the worse it
seemed? That's because as you think one sustained thought, the law of attraction immediately brings more like thoughts to you.
There is no such thing as a hopeless situation. Every single circumstance of your life can change!
If you thought that you were insignificant and had no power in this world, think again. Your mind is actually shaping the world around you.
They need to be aware that it has been scientifically proven that an affirmative thought is hundreds of times more powerful than a negative thought. That eliminates a degree of worry right there.
Nothing can come into your experience unless you summon it through persistent thoughts.
Your feelings tell you very quickly what you're thinking. Think about when your feelings suddenly took a dive—maybe when you heard some bad news. That feeling in your stomach or solar plexus was instant. So your feelings are an immediate signal for you to know what you are thinking. So enjoying..

Think of a car driving through the night The headlights only go a hundred to two hundred feet forward, and you can make
it all the way from California to New York driving through the dark, because all you have to see is the next two hundred
feet.
Think about what you have asked for, and make sure that your actions are mirroring what you expect to receive, and that they're not contradicting what you've asked for. Act as if you are receiving it.
You must begin to treat yourself with love and respect, and emit that signal and get on that frequency. Then the law of attraction will move the entire Universe, and your life will be full of people who love and respect you.
Look for the positives in You. As you focus on those things, the law of attraction will show you more
great things about You.
All stress begins with one negative thought. One thought that went unchecked, and then more thoughts came and more.

I like this metaphor.
To extend it, after the driver goes all night, he is surprised to find that the sun is coming up. He is much further along his journey than he thought.

He may keep driving, keep making progress in the light of day, and it's possible that he reaches his destination in that light. Or he may not get there, but when darkness comes again, he will be very close, much better off than when he began.

It is also possible that he chooses to sit back and bask in the sunlight. He stops driving, stops progressing toward his goal, but remains happy. When darkness comes, he despairs, moaning that the light is gone. He was once so happy in this same spot, but now it has lost its magic. He is hopeless.
All he has to do, though this is no small task, is turn his headlights back on and head in the right direction; the sun will rise again.

I dont fully agree with you there amatpua. First, i think 'the secret' is girly magic make believe, although it does stress the importance of thinking positive. But that is the only thing good i could find in it.

Contradictory thoughts are important. They are the base of evolution. Is what i am doing still good? Or can i improve? Somebody tells me i can do better, shouldnt i try it at least? I cant do this vs i can do this, it puts you on selfreflect. some people will prove themselves while others will bend to the negative thought.

And you just cant summon something, except diarrhea.

Acting as if you have achieved your goal is positive on one side, but naieve on the other side. In that way, the secret makes you believe that you dont have to do shit to get anywhere. If live in a paper box but make believe that you have the playboy mansion, that just makes funny sights.

Beware of this kind of crap. I am just stating my point of view here, i dont mean to insult your believes or anything.

Currently, I believe that my life is generally OK and I am pursuing different areas of life to make my life better.
There was a time that I was generally not happy with my life in just about every area. The fact of the matter is that I was still trying to learn pick-up, but it just wasn't working out for Me.
There are times when I'm super confident so i go out and try some approaches..recently it's been negative results...my confidence then deteriorates.It’s a downward spiral that sucks your energy and motivation.

I was on the mentality that “once I get good with picking up women, everything else in my life will work out”.Is my focus in the wrong place??

At the moment I'm climbing my way back to the top,been feeling really down lately. My game kinda crashed and burned after a little drama I suppose I wasn't man enough to handle at the time.

AmazingArt says i should be myself but Really I lack interesting insights, knowledge, etc. I very quickly run out of things to talk about or say when I’m with people. I don’t have a quick wit at all.To be honest, other than doing my approaches, I have nothing interesting happening in my life.

I agree with you guys that there's no point in learning lines and routines If I don't really fell good about myself....the lines and routines are all useless without the right inner game and mentality...maybe that's why I've been getting such negative results lately.

I've set a new goal for myself that if i shall ever feel depressed again i will accept, move on and take action that will define whether I will move back into an empowered state.And most importantly Work on my inner game .

amatpua Thanks for the book recommendation Bro I will read it and see If it will help.

Seems as if Depression is something that we’ve all experienced.Thanks to all of you All the words and advice have been extremely comforting as well as helpful.

I think everyone has had those feelings. You just have to press on and keep taking action. Sadly, there isn't really anything you can do to make those feelings go away quickly.

What you can do though is start a project, start going out more, or become better at something. Usually if you're growing or loving you don't feel empty.

@LD : Hey what "the Secret" states is what you should be doing when you are in pursuit of your goal and facing uncertainty. The biggest challenge to confidence is uncertainty. Suppose someone threatened you for some dire consequences for the next day either you can spend the night in fear and feel powerless or feel as long as you can do nothing you can atleast let your mind do something for you in favourable position. That's what it is - working in the unknown terrain.. Ofcourse you will work out all the logic, see things from different sides, but when fear, emotions and anxiety takes over - it certainly does in negative states, that's what the Secret suggests to not go to that route, but to the Secret route.
Say you didn't have this PUA skills, the least you can do is follow the Secret route, let the universe do it for you. But ofcourse following the PUA route with The Secret route is going to be better.
