What is so scary about asking "Would you like to go on a date with me?"

It's similar to approach anxiety except it's the next step.

Is it wrong to ask her for a date?

Yes, it is wrong to ask her! you arent a child are you? Mommy, can you buy me that toy, can i have a candy?

Be a man, dont ask her out, tell you want to go out with her. Tell her you want to get to know her, either verbally or orally (well, for starters, keep the verbally or orally away).

Dont ask, just go for what you want, state what you want.
