What are your thoughts?

I dated a girl for 3-4 months, lots of sex, good girl, but she got too insecure and pushed my buttons a lot. So I emailed her and never spoke to her again. I knew she'd cry and I just didn't want to deal with it.

Well to be honest I would rather do it in person that way I can try to end things on a neutral note. I have been engaged twice with the first engagement I ended it through E-mail because I didn't want to see her face because I knew how much she was going to be crushed. Afterwards I felt relieved, but after a while I felt like shit because I knew that since I was man enough to ask her to marry me I could have been man enough to break it off to face to face. A couple of years down the line I had my heart crushed by my second fiance while I was in Germany on business, I knew then that Karma doesn't play around. From that point I have tried to at least sit a woman down if I don't think it will work and explain to her why I don't feel attracted to her and why I feel that we should split, believe it or not regardless to what people say women are very delicate when it comes to things like this. I def try to end it on a good note as respectfully as poss. Hope this helps.

Well, personally I think that's a pretty fucked up thing to do.

If you just met the girl and only knew her for a few weeks that's one thing, but 3 or 4 months....no, a face to face would have been better. I know it's never easy, but you owed her that much. Doing it via email probaly made it twice as bad for her.

Plus, Karma's a bitch. I tend to try to treat people how I'd like to be treated.
