My problem is I see HB's all the time, and I am really good at small talk such as how was your day? have you tried this and that? (I mean I have to, its part of my job) but I have a problem closing with these girls. There are a handful out there that I know that if I could say the right thing we could end up dating, etc. I just can't get the right words out and a couple attempts of mine comes out flat. I feel like because I have an apron on I am automatically an AFC in their eyes. What I am asking is what lines should put out for these girls (good openers)because getting through that I could easily get into small talk, and then closing them like getting their numbers or setting up plans for a date. These girls are generally high schoolers and college students studying fashion and whatnot.

Also, opinion on this, I like to say "made with love right?" when I am making drinks. usually they laugh and say "yeah lots of that" Idk if thats a good thing or not but i definitely get a kick outta that.

Last but not least, I am either at the cash register or making drinks, so if you guys can provide useful tips in both situations that would be lots of help. I need all the constructive criticism I can get. Thanks!

Starting the conversation off on something cheeky that's almost rude but more funny straight off is an option.

It sounds a lot like an inner game issue for you to me, start off thinking this, "every single girl that walks in here and talks to me, wants me to show them that i'm not just another guy waiting on them, and I'm going to that" just a simple mindset that may help.

this is a big problem with retail jobs. you have very little time and you cant isolate. like mi1ooo98 said, starting off with something outrageous is a great start.

i would imagine that in your situation the best thing to do would be try to say something amusing to the regular customers that you are attracted to almost every time they come in. this is a good way to escalate over a longer period of time.

one thing you should definitely use on a girl youve seen multiple times if you get the chance is "oh please, you dont even like coffee. you only come in here to see me, dont you? be honest. you probably walk right outta here and then pour it out." or something similar.

this is such a tough spot because transitioning to number close is just so hard and awkward.

These sought of situations body language is really important. Flirt with you eyes and mouth, if she responds, write down you number on a piece of paper and say "don't lose my number next time"
