My sticking point is actually doing a cold approach during the day by myself. I will literally go out for hours and I won't even talk to one girl. Where do you find the motivation!? Do you need to go with a friend in order to have fun approaching girls during the day, or do you have to go out at night?

I recommend talking to workers in shops etc as a kind of warm up or bar staff. Start developing light banter and fun conversation with them whilst being aware that they are at work and obviously have their time constraints. Look to brighten up their day and bring some joy into what is for them another boring day at work. Doing this puts you in a good frame of mind for daygame because you are essentially doing the same thing :)
