So I recently stumbled into a pitfall because of a preconceived notion I had about hooking up with girls. I assumed that if I was good at talking to girls that is all that mattered as far as hook up and relationships are concerned. So I got good at talking to girls and it works well. But I ran into a problem in group situations. The guys were cock blocking me.

So I tried to make friends with the guys, but it was very difficult because I hadn't spent a lot of time researching and practicing like I have with the women. It would be better if I was able to converse with both guys and girls with equal confidence.

Do you have any tips on overcoming rejection to make friends with guys? Or tips in general on how to make friends and maintain friends with people very different than myself.

I think there's some basic principles that apply to both sexes. Don't change yourself for the other person and be honest.

Personally, I find as long as i'm having fun in the conversation, they're enjoying it too. So try and make it as fun as possible for you, and it'll naturally be fun for them
