I'm going to disagree slightly and say twist your mindset. Don't just be yourself, be the best of yourself.

Natural for a lot of people can make a lot of people a "nice guy" meaning they're replaceable. Unless you live an extrodinarily interesting life and this is obvious from the get go what else is going to make you better than your average Joe? (rhyming not intended ) Theres nothing wrong with putting on a face for a bit, if its going to give you an edge/boost your confidence.

No offence dude but I think people came online looking for what they can do to improve their game, not how to keep failing because clearly just being themselves isn't working.

hmm this sounds like the advice women give men. Hate to be so blunt but this is just wrong. You can't just "be yourself" until you know exactly what "yourself" is and know exactly what that self enjoys and doesn't enjoy. When you have solid identity and awesome social skills yes you can go out and just be yourself and have awesome results. But if you're insecure and you let people impose their view over yours and control the frame. If you change your preferences and tastes to try and befriend more ppl and if you lack the ability to comfortably approach complete strangers then no. You cannot go up and just be yourself.

It is not right nor wrong for this "to be yourself".
That could be an option. someone can do better when act as himself, and someone can do better when they act as someone else.
We want to pick up a girl, not to pick up a theory.
At least, we now have one more option, and that is good.
Act it out or not, you must know yourself.
I can only act as myself, and I will try more and more to improve myself. e.g. not all the dress fits you well. Only some dress fits you. you will always try and find the best dress that fit you the best. The same when you choose the best way to pick up girls.

and I believe the nature way is very important.
