Here is the thing most of the time it's best to keep going. I would have gotten the condom without saying a word. If she said, "Where are you going?" I'd just say I'll be right back or "you'll see." When you say things like "hold on babe, I'm gong to get a condom." Then the LMR kicks in.
Keep in mind "Wait, I don't think I'm ready...." Is not a "No" so you should keep going. Perhaps you are going to have to talk it through with her. You are going to have to address some of that resistence with LMR if it does come back up that way. You might have to establish a bit more rapport. Or you might just need to freeze her out a bit to make her "want" that closeness feeling again.
Lots of ways to handle it, next time keep going until she says "No." And have some freaking condoms nearby!
