God I hate my ex.

After about 2 months of no contact we met up again at an event through our mutual friends. I hitched a ride to the location with her and her brother (hes like my best friend so he offered me a lift). She seemed pretty friendly with me at first.

Throughout the event, the little interactions we had were quite friendly too, with a little physical contact here and there. Pretty sure she gave me a boner at one point. Good times. For the most part, she and her 2 ugly chick friends deserted themselves from the rest of the party to gossip and what not. Meanwhile I was getting along well with everyone else.

The trouble came when the party ended and we were in the car going back home. Her annoying features started to surface again. Out of nowhere she first accuses me of being unoriginal at flirting and copying a fictional TV personality. Whilst its true that I used /one/ technique I saw on a tv series, the latter is not true. I remained quiet. Then she continued to say "at least [the tv personality] managed to get a girl." I swear I could have killed her but I remained quiet. Finally she accused me of inventing stuff, like me going to events.

I seem to have lost a lot of respect here and I want it back. Most probably her bro tells her EVERYTHING I do but I don't want to confront him about it cause I dont want her to know that it bothered me.

What on earth is she trying to tell me? Girls talk with each other so I want to kill this rumour as soon as possible. [Oh and I overheard that she may be dating someone, slut.]

Stop trying to control everything. You can't physically kill rumors, the best thing you can do is not react to them. If people are stupid enough to automatically believe something without asking you first, that is THEIR problem. Just like i'ts your ex's problem that she thinks your unoriginal.

You hate your ex because what she said hurts you, it hurt you because you're not happy enough with yourself and not believing in yourself. The only way she can get to your reality is if you let her. You need to work on your mindset.

This one's too easy bro. If your friend wants you to hang and she's going also, just let her be. She can have all the rumors she wants, but it shouldn't change the "confident alpha male" in you.
