Since today is Thanksgiving in the U.S. and my second anniversary in this community is just a few days away, I wanted to take a few moments to make a few acknowledgments.

I'd like to thank kasabi for instilling in me the importance of focusing on each woman's wants and needs and motivations. All too often, we think only about what we ourselves want, and then we think about how to get it.  What I've realized in a new way now, thanks largely to kasabi's help, is that if I spend more energy trying to understand what each woman wants and needs, I'll not only have better relationships characterized by better communication -- in work, in friendship, and in family, too -- but I'll have a much better chance of finding the junction between what she wants and what I want.

I'd like to thank Chief for sharing his take on 60 Years' philosophy. Less really is more in so many circumstances.

And I'd like to thank the countless other members of this forum who have offered me their insights and helped make this forum the invaluable resource it is.

Feel free to add to this thread with things you're thankful for.

Peace,

Ciornia

Thanks for the shout out and you're welcome!

This is my current facebook status:

I am greatly thankful for my family members for all their help and support, thankful for my friends who make shit more fun, thankful for all the wonderful and inspiring women who have been/are in my life and the opportunity to grow from what I've learned from our experiences, thankful for the roof above my head and the food I can eat every day, thankful for the fact that I'm not deaf yet so that I can still rock out, thankful for alcohol for making funny shit even funnier, thankful for freedom and democracy, thankful for "the community" for getting me on my feet, and thankful for smiles :) Happy Thanksgiving!

Also, I made this thread in the spirit of this appreciation, too:
