I don't know what to make of this situation. I was just playing along, despite her having a negative tone, thinking it wasn't really going anywhere... now we're planning to hang out at the beach tomorrow. Did I pass her shit tests? Perhaps she could feel my indifference towards the outcome? Here's the chat transcript, so I can get some feedback.
8/11/2011
Me: Hey. How's my favourite little brat doing?

Her: Hey who's this? Xo
Me: Chris. Front of [venue] on Saturday night
9/11/2011
Her: Ahhh, so I DID give you my real phone number... Oh well, we all make mistakes!!

How r ya, my straight edge friend?
Me: Yes, you did make a mistake... only giving me your number, instead of spending the night with me. But luckily you can still redeem yourself, being such a self-proclaimed "loose cannon" and all.

Her: Ignoring the fact that you're a total sleazebag, how should I go about "redeeming" myself?
10/11/2011
Her: Must have hit a soft spot with the sleazebag comment !!!!
Me: Yes, because my sense of self-esteem is totally determined by your uninformed opinion of me. Or maybe I just got lazy and forgot to reply. Your call!
Her: Boooooooooooooo to you for forgetting to reply then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me: Imagine it. Dawn breaking on a warm Summer's morning, blissfully strolling along the beach... [
figured I had nothing to lose at this point, so for self-amusement I wrote about a hypothetical romantic situation where we go to the beach, have lunch, go hangliding together, then sit on a hill and "passionately engage in the ritual of love making"]
Her: Did i write that yourself? Or copy and pasted it from somewhere???? It's very nice

Me: Thanks, I wrote it myself

Her: And forward to all the girls?
Me: What other girls? I don't know what you're talking about

Her: Yeah right!!! I'm not that naive! I knew you were a raging whorebag
17/11/2011
Me: Just so you know, I honestly didn't send that message to anyone else. So it's pretty rude to call me a "raging whorebag".
Her: Ah I knew you were offended!!! calm your farm, it's just how I speak

that was so last week anyway!!!
Me: Not offended, just pointing out how rude that was. I'm sure you would feel the same way if I said that about you. Anyway, what's been hip and happening in your world?
Kate: I'm not a whorebag I'm a princess!!! Yeah I've just been working and laying low. I'm at work now til 9 fucking sucks

what's new with u? X
[
Five hours later]
Her: You can't talk about rudeness, u take ten years to reply which is soooooo rude! I'm at work and I still reply! So boo to you Adonis!
[
Thought I lost it here, but kept plowing through regardless...]
Me: Laying low... sounds like you're trying to avoid government agents who are trying to get you.

Not much new with me, [
told her about my new job, asked what she did for work]
Her: [
Tells me about her work and study]. I'm a winner
Me: As long as you feel like you're winning, that's all that matters

Her: There's a difference between being a winner and winning
Me: Okay... as long as you feel like a winner, that's all that matters

Her: Rad. [
congratulates me on my new job]
Me: Thanks. [
Tell her more about the job]
Her: [
Makes another comment, with smiley face]
18/11/2011
Her: What r u doing on this fine evening ?
Me: A fine evening indeed! Some friends invited me up to [venue] tonight, I'm still with them. What about you?
Her: Wow that was a speedy reply.
I'm just at home laying on the couch. Not being a loose cannon tonight. So are we going to be text message friends for life?
19/11/2011
Me: We could be... or we could plan to catch up again sometime soon. Not tonight, perhaps Sunday?
Her: Sunday funday. Sounds good. Time and place?

Me: [
Proceeding to organise something, with her also telling me her address before I asked, so I can pick her up before going]
And in case anyone is wondering, we initially met just outside the front of a club. I stopped her (and her friend) as she was walking past. Our initial interaction only lasted about 10 minutes, and I recall her backing away when I tried to move close. In terms of looks fairly tall and brunette, I recall a tight pink dress, probably an 8 or 9 on the "scale" that most people tend to use.
