So I met a really hot girl and got her number last weekend, but when I texted her (2 days later) she didn't respond. I really thought there was interest and that we would end up going out on a date. I would appreciate any insight. Here is what happened:

I approached the bar, and saw the girl with a friend to the left of me, having just taken a shot. I turned my head to the side and asked them what kind of shot it was, they said tequila, I asked what brand, she said patron. We talked briefly about tequila and how "Avion" tequila is apparently a real brand (there were posters for it in the bar, it's the shit from Entourage, which apparently is a real brand). They paid for their shots and before I said something like "ok, have fun," and turned to order my own drink. The girl I was interested in turned back towards me, touched me on my arm, and shot me a smile. I thought I sensed interest.

A while later, before I left the bar, I got up the courage to talk to her again. I went up to her (she was standing near the bar) and asked if she wanted to try a shot of Avion tequila, she said sure. I walked towards a free spot at the bar to see if she would leave her friends and follow me. She did. While I was waiting for the bartender, she went back over to see her friend briefly (not far away) and told me to get her when I was ready. Bartender poured the shots, and she came back over. Her friend came too and I talked to both of them. Typical bar pickup conversation - age guessing, where are you from, etc. - ensued for 5-10 minutes. I then said my friends wanted to leave so I had to go find them, but we should talk more. She said 'yeah, I'll give you my #," and I took down her #. We hugged goodbye and I left feeling good about it. Two days later I texted her saying it was good to meet her, etc., but she didn't respond. I am kind of upset about it, but most importantly, I want to figure out what I could have done better.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

didnt get to read your whole text but, you should text girls not 2 days later but way sooner than that, i usually text them that same day. you gotta engage them while their buying temperature is high, pretty much attraction fades when you leave the set, especially if shes a hot chick shes prolly got hella guys try to pick her up, she forgot who you were cause shes a hot chick n got plenty of cool shit to do, you gotta hit her up for a meet up sooner while she still remembers how cool you were.

didnt read your text but make sure you qualify her too and make a connection before you get outta the set or if you can set something up right then and there while its convenient for both of you and buying temperature is at its highest
