I've been friends with this girl about 3 months. She recently broke up with her boyfriend and has recently in the coming holiday offered to let me stay at her house during the break. She made the offer a couple weeks prior and I thought of it as an offhand comment but she recently brought it up again twice. So knowing this, first question; should I take this just as a friendly offer or a something more than that. This leads me to my second question; should I accept?

Given the information provided...I could see this situation going in several directions..

If you like her...I'd go for it....You don't have to stay if you're not enjoying yourself...keep that in mind.

Just watch out that she doesnt just want a "friend" to be there for her tho....otherwise your chances will quickly become 0...

There are several posts on here tho about escaping the friendzone, and escalation, so i'd suggest to look at them as well

Sounds like you're good to go. Just escalate. Maybe with alcohol.

Been in a somewhat similar situation, she's probably going to want you to be her shoulder to cry on about the break up. Luckily, you'll have the advantage of staying with her which I did not have. Getting out of the friend zone isn't the easiest thing to do, but in a situation like this it is easier than normal.
Let her know you're there for her, help her emotionally, and at the same time escalate. I'd suggest slow escalation so she doesn't really catch on to the fact you're getting her on the rebound. Don't just dive into it.

Let her vent about her ex, if she gets emotional let her rest her head on your shoulder, stroke her hair, rub her shoulders, have the 'nice guy' personality for a while but keep the kino steadily increasing at the same time. It'll kind of confuse her cuz you're being all touchy feely, but you'll be helping her emotionally at the same time. Escalate right and you got a damn good chance.

Also, why do you think you're in the friendzone? Just act like it doesn't exist.
