Hi Champs... This is my first day to all this

I've been looking into this pick-up things since a long time, but didn't actually do anything... I mugged up as much knowledge as I can but never tried it practically. At some point I found myself reading about Last minute resistance, while I was not even trying to take the first step .
Due to reading this excessive stuff I actually started over-expecting. Like I'd say "Lets wait for the Hottest girl to come and then I will test my new knowledge" I also thought if I approach I must #close the chick n whatever...But I didn't get anywhere due to this.
So finally I decided to give up this bad habit and get started...
Now I have realized that I must practice in order to improve... I went out today just to approach the girls... n I didn't care if she's hot or not, all that mattered is that person must have pussy installed

Today I had clear goals - To say hi to as many girls as I can. I wasn't thinking about getting the number/kiss/lay.. and this clear goal helped me a lot..

Approach 1 -

I saw a girl coming, it was face to face situation. No EC. Still I said out loud,
Marshall - Hi! How can I go to X from here.
Her - blah blah blah
Marshall - Thanks, bye

Nothing special

Approach 2 -

I saw another chick.
I approached from behind
Marshall - Hi, How can I go to X from here.
Her - (She explained this in too much detail) blah blah blah
Marshall - Thanks, have a nice day! bye.

again nothing special...

Then when I got back home I was thinking about how would have done it in better way. Got a few improvement point. Gained some confidence. And now I am feeling good about myself. I know this is NOTHING for you guys but it was an important step for me...
Like in approach 2, that girl happened to be going in same direction, so I'd have asked her are you going the same way ? n could have continued the conversation...

Also I was also smiling at everyone who happened to be looking at me, got a few smiles back in response, got some confidence boost...
Anyway, I am gaining confidence from this... I believe I will improve. Will update you guys soon. I am waiting for your expert reviews...

Things you may want to consider
1) When you ask where something is, pick something that's local and hard to find, so you could ask them if they could walk you there.

One thing I used to use at college is I would ask where the Math tutoring center is, it was hard to find. When girls explained where it was, they would usually give a bad explanation, and I would ask if they could walk me there. Usually they agreed, that's when I would ask for their name and open with a joke /story
