I heard that sexual harrassment lawsuits aren't very common. Has anyone seen it happen? If so, what was the situation? Is it possible to date an employee without the risk of a lawsuit?

I think the main thing her is not to start kino before isolation.

If you ask her on an non-work-related activity, she wouldn't sue your ass if you are trying to kissclose her......in the office on the other hand that is an option. Also don't smack a girls ass unless you are not too keen on your job or are 99,99% sure it isnt going to cause any problems.

Hahah! This is pretty funny. Say you actually both like each other, then what? If she is your employee you could be suit for giving her special SPAM by other employees.

I'm really not sure what sexual harrassmemt is. I mean what can you do and what can't you do?

I'd say just don't do it. You don't want to risk losing your job over a girl, and if you fail you will have to continue working with her. If you have to do it though, make sure you 'ask' for permission, or kinda wiggle your way around it to see if she is down to with you kissing her (for starters:P) Being reckless is being possibly disastrous.

That's because they aren't used to being hit on. A pretty girl knows guys will hit on her because that's just what guys do. She will give them the cheek but still continue to hang out with them. The girls you describe just want attention I guess.

There are 10k+ reported cases each year, tho you can bet more go unreported.

Never seen it happen tho I almost had one filed against me for telling a girl I should slap her butt. Thankfully her boss was able to talk her out of it.

Yes. You just have to be more careful of what you do.

Let me guess your young and never had a job before? Because at least in the US if you ever had a job you had to sign a sexual harassment agreement which tells you what it is and the company policy on it as well. As far as what you can or can't do, its pretty obvious. You can't do anything sexual that the girl will find harassing. How much or what a girl considers sexual harassment differs but its bets not to test the waters if you want to keep your job or be hire-able.

Ok, I understand u probably can't tell a girl thatnu want to slap her ass, but if you are polite and don't say something like that, do you think it's ok? I mean realistically couldn't you say that to a girl you don't work with and get in troble.

I'm not that young. I'm mid twenties.... I just don't understand what you need to be scared of. Do you need to be scared she's going to go crazy and accuse you of something you didnt do or do you have to worry about employees getting jealous that she gets special SPAM because she's going out with a manager?

I guess I understand why theres laws for it, but what if you don't do anything that bad. What if you just like the girl and she's a good employee too. Your not aloud to go out because you work together? Or are you ok as long as you don't do stupid shit like tell them u want to slap their ass.

Saying anything sexual can get you in hot water. Doesn't matter how polite you are about it. As the way the law is written it is up to the person you made the comment to to interpret how they see fit.

Then how do you not know what sexual harassment is about then? I would assume you had at least one job, which means you had to sign a paper on it.

Its how the law is written and how it favors women (understandably so) but there are major faults in it. Because the law is based upon hearsay all a woman needs to say is you made such a remark to HR or her boss and bam you have to prove otherwise. If she is buddies with HR or her manager good luck with that.

In some companies you can't. Tho most allow it. You say say she is a good employee and you find her attractive, but really anything past that can land you in hot water.

Basically yes. Tho I would be careful never the less as even underlining meanings count as sexual harassment.

Grinder, when it comes to this its best to not really push the envelope really. If you been flirting with a girl for a while at work you can get a tad sexual with her. Now if she acts favor to it then you can go further, but I still move with caution more because of how the law works.

Good stuff. This seems to be common sense stuff. What about if you are HR or the boss and she acts normal and is ok with flirting with you, then one day she decides she wants a big pay day so she imbelishes your flirtations. Is this a likely scenario? Something to worry about? Would she have to get a good attorney or have witnesses to win a case like that?
