Try it out and let us know! Just remember, you have to be able to transition into something else! I can see it working though.

Has to be a store where there is plausible deniability. I.e. where the ppl who work there do not wear nametags or some kind of uniform.

I could see it working especially well in places where the staff is generally very hip and cool since then it will be an implicit compliment without you having to say anything ;)

For most guys it'd be like

You: "Excuse me, do you guys carry..."

Her: "I don't work here"

You: "Oh, im sorry..." and leave lol.

It can work, just have some interesting comeback. If people have uniforms and your body language does not project "fun" you can even get some women offended. Beware.

See this is why I like my one friend's approach. He doesn't have to think of what he's going to say next he would just be like "Oh really? Well how's you're day going this fine evening?" in some kind of funny way. Really man, you can say anything.
