I know Mystery has a personal opener he does which is, "What's your first impression of Black Nails?" I kinda have my own. I have like a really interesting Steel Indian Bracelet and I thought I could ask, "What's your first impression of this bracelet." However I can't think of a reason why I would have to ask that? Like Mystery has a reason for why he wants to know what ppl think of black nails.

I have a story that comes with how I got it, which is: I was with some friends excavating as a guest looking for old aero heads, and seen an old man lying on the floor. He could barely talk and said he was a diabetic, I know some diabetics so I knew all about this and knew he didn't have much time so long story short I gave him orange juice and saved his life so he thanked my giving me this bracelet. *End Story*

So the follow up story is kinda a DHV and shows I saved someone's life and all that, I just can't think of who I would ask for an opinion on a bracelet. So maybe you guys could hit me up with some reasons; so I can create this opener.

Whatever their response is really doesn't matter or while they are giving their response launch into the reasoning behind the opener.

"The reason I'm asking is I got it as a token for saving this guys life, and part of me wants to wear it cause it was nice of the guy. The other part of me isn't so sure it looks good on me..."

You could use it as an opener...but I don't personally prefer them. I'm in an LTR now, but when I did approach, I always made it seem spontaneous and like I wasn't looking for that person...I just happened to turn and say hello. After that...you can use your opener. If you come in straight with, "what do you think of this?" then it SOUNDS like something canned...and something you're saying to everyone.

Whatever you do..make it sound natural and own it.

Asking them to look at 'THIS' bracelet that you're wearing seems very attention seeking.

Mystery is indirectly doing this, making it not bad at all. He is just asking about black nails, and if women notice his black nails, then they will also realize he didn't call attention to them directly.

What you're doing is saying, hey, look at my black nails. The ladies are going to think, ugh this guy. You're making it about you.

Mystery is making it about them by not bringing himself into the question.

If that makes sense?

My advice I've heard from many others is, don't make any of your own openers until you get many other already known successful openers in your head, internalized. This way, the more openers you have internalized/memorized in your head, the more you will understand them. The more you understand successful openers, the better you will be at making your own.

Also, you will gain an understanding of certain openers 20x faster by using them than if you just sit down and try to study them like school work.

I think that kinda solves the problem for me, It looks like the same thing Mystery says only replacing black nails with Bracelet and inserting a different follow up story. What do you guys think?
