That was a DLV, you wanted her to stay when she said she was going. She was fishing for an answer like that. What you should have probably done is say something like

"Bye ;)"

That would have caught her off guard and in all likely hood, reply with something else which would place in you in a higher position.

The first part was good but obviously you lost the second part.

Instead, you should have reframed it into a frame where your social value was still higher than hers. Also, the frame should also set up the expectation that she is staying or set up a hoop for her to jump through.
