| When it comes to opening, I'm a big fan of "just be yourself . . ."
I know it is not a very popular stance, but just saying what comes to mind has helped me more often in more situations than any routine or gambit.
A while ago I was in a phase where my days were more or less filled with business appointments and I had little time for spontaneously chatting up women when, one day I saw a woman that was just my type and we had "a moment" of great eye contact and both smiled while we passed another in the pedestrian zone.
Then I thought, "Wait a minute, today's Saturday, I have time today!"
I turned around, jogged over to her, turned her around and said "Hi, I'm always running to appointments and usually wouldn't have had the time to talk to you, but I just realized that today is Saturday and I have time to say ´hi, I'm Chris and you're cute.`"
She smiled, laughed, introduced herself and, hey, we were in a conversation!
Ok, these days that has become somewhat of a routine for me, but the first time it was real.
Anyway, that's how I come up with my "canned lines." When I have a good day and my Mojo's kickin like Austin Powers and I instinctively say something cool, I try to remember it so that I can use it again, when I can't seem to think of anything good to say. _________________ Prepared Natural Game
