ok so i was talking to this new guy about a month ago (im a girl btw). and we both used to initiate texts but now we havent talked in a while and idk what to do. we see each other around school sometimes but we act like we don't see each other. hes pretty shy so maybe thats why? i was starting to like him but now im thinking he has another girl or something. Maybe he thinks i dont like him anymore because i dont talk to him at school but im kinda scared to initiate anything in case he isnt interested anymore.

what should i do? thanks

you girls do "weird" shit all the time..

but in this case its not, your both prob over thinking it. He prob wants to hit you up but thinks you have a guy and you want to hit him up but you think he has a girl.

You may think this is intended as a joke or an insult, but it's not. Even PUA's who have figured out how to reliably attract girls cannot fully penetrate the inner sanctum of WTF that goes on in the female brain...and the way they they can like a guy one minute, not like him the next, but then like him again the next minute completely defies logic. In other words, a guy would not find this behavior any more weird or confusing than typical girl behavior.

If you're a girl, I don't think it will damage his image of you just simply texting him saying hi or something fairly mundane.

The danger is when the guy fucks it up and gets all mundane and bores you!

so i have somewhat of an update.

we saw each other at school and said hi. wasnt really awkward which was good. maybe i should just let him know im around still by saying hi whenever i see him? i feel like texting him at this point will look needy and obvious since i just talked to him again in a while.

any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi is not enough. Heaps of girls tell me hi every day but I doubt they all are interested in me in way you're interested in him.

Why don't you just start a conversation the next time you meet him? Or you can invite him to an event you'll be attending. We guys are dumb - we need you to give us a real clue....not just "hi". ;) Of course, if you wink while saying hi, smiling seductively, he'll get it. But a casual hi won't do that.

He'll be glad to miss two minutes of class in exchange to talking to you.
