Hey guys

ever happened that you're just there and a random girl tells you 'i love your watch' or 'nice sweater'

So not so long ago (before i discovered this PUA world) i was in a formal party unofficially bar-tending (parents of a friend, i was invited to the party but helped out) so a girl who was asking me for drinks just comes and tells me that she loves my watch. I just said thank you and kicked my sorry ass (i did not know about anything at that moment, no negs, no shit, though by saying nice things and being a nice guy i could get girls, i know you have to be nice but to an extent apparently).

What could i have said? Any god role-play you guys can give me?

thanks guys

Ideas for responses.

DHV Routine Story: Thanks, my I picked it out with my friends ...(insert a few girls names) Shows pre-selection.

She's already opened at this point so proceed with A2 and have fun.

I have found that there are 2 ways to respond to a real compliment.

1) you dont say thank you or acknoweledge an apreciation for the comment.

ex: "Yea i really love it, i got it..." (right into DHV story)

2) You Chose to accept the compliment in the form of tanking the person.

ex: "Yea i really love it, thanks, i got it..." (same into DHV you go)

What i do is go back and forth between acceptance and overlooking. This way you come accross as self validateing but not rude. You will start to get multiple compliments from the same person because they start to validate themselves, and obtain happiness, from your approval in the form of you thanking them.

hope this helps

I'm also interested to see the response on this...I myself find it a little bit too "cocky" for my taste...

But this thread is great. All last semester I had different people comment on my clothes/watch/etc... and I always just said Thanks...and smiled...and continued to do what I was doing...

Now I realize that they attempted to "open" me up...
Light blub just went off!!!!

One I like to use...HB compliments you on something. Example HB: "That's a nice watch.." You, "Yeah, but you're just attracted to me." I usually get a response of shock and awe. Then I go right into A2 since she opened me.
