So I happened to meet up with this girl that I banged 4 years ago. We stopped talking because of her boyfriend. She now broke up with him after 4 years and moved to my area. We talked for a an hour or two and found out that she still had my number. We made plans to meet up and go out at the same place a week later. I received a text earlier today sayin
"Hey I ended up working a double today and am not going to go out tonight."

Prior she responded to me one text about going out on X day by saying
"Sounds good. I usually work on Mondays, but usually not too late. Ill text you when Im getting off."

What should my response be and also what is the best thing to do in these situations?

She said "Haha. How did you guess!"

Sometimes you have to give people the benefit of the doubt imo. Sometimes stuff does genuinely get in the way of people's social lives, you can't assume every instance is a flake.
