| I see a lot of posts concerning this issue and I would like to take a few moments to give you all my reflections on it.
I post this in the newbie section because I think that most of the people having problems with this are green PUAs.
So a lot of people think that race matters and affects your game negatively. And it is not only race, it is every single thing you can think of, glasses, not having a job etc etc. All of those are things that are associated with you against your will. It was not your choice, which makes it easy to go into a "victim" role. It is not your fault, right, you are born this way right? (Yes I know that is a Lady Gagball song.)
Truth is, we are all different and our background does change the way we see things. Our cultural heritage and nationality gives us a certain type of behavior. What layer of society we belong to changes our way of seeing resources and money as well as how we interact with other people.
That is, until we become aware of it.
There is a choice.
It is all about freeing your mind. (Yes it sounds like New Age bullshit but pay attention.)
Our backgrounds have taught us how to behave, that is, it has installed limitations in our minds, some of these are good (like dont steal, kill and do bad stuff), but some of those are bad, really bad (like treating people differently based on background, being socially terrified, lacking guts etc.) You see where I am going with this?
Many of the things we have learned from the environment we live in are holding us back. For example, most of us know that we cannot just go up to the hottest blonde and ask her out. Why not? Because of what BS media has fed us, she is untouchable and will eat you alive, she has higher standards and she only goes for millionaires. That is BS.
Some societies tell us to be nice, not too loud and not get too close to anyone else, ever. Some tell us to shout and emote all of the time.
Basically, these rules are there in order to get along with most people, to not stick out and attract attention to yourself, because it may annoy someone.
The fact is, people who stick out do annoy others for a few reasons, many of them being that you are a threat to the alpha males in the venue. You are no longer a supporting character in the film but one of the ones who get your name written in the credits. But if you chose to play by the rules of everybody else, you will be no different from anyone else and thus not noticed. A PUA is the exception to the rule.
Since I myself am a foreigner living in a foreign country, I often get the question "Is that how people behave in your country?" (Normally related to pickup and not always in a bad way.) My response being, "No, absolutely not, this is 100% just me." And what do you know, suddenly everything changes, I have broken free of the stereotype, the preconceptions and voila, I am no longer a foreigner, I am just me. I am something different, normal rules does not apply to me anymore. If people cannot place you in their normal filing system, they are forced to create a new folder, just for you.
So, my take on it:
Become aware of the limiting beliefs that your culture has pushed on you. Accept that it is ok to be different, there are many ways of thinking and it is not sure that what you have been taught is right for you. Rid yourself of the limitations you no longer like and go out there and meet people from other cultures, other societies and other cultures and take in whatever their background can give you. Merge what you already have with what you can get from others. Take the best of what you find and create your own reality. Dump those limiting beliefs that you have had stuck in your mind since the beginning of time and make your own rules (naturally you still have to follow local laws).
Then you can join another society of people who are more openminded and who have less limitations, it is worth it.
For me, I became ridiculously more powerful after doing this.
This also applies to PUA. We tend to stick with a Dojo, like the mystery method and the natural game or whatever, natural vs indirect game and we still cling to whatever school of PU we like best. And of course there are endless battles going on between indirect and direct game saying "oh we are better etc etc". Guess what, that kind of attachment to a group... It is not alpha. You are a follower, a member of the pack. It sure feels nice to be part of a strong pack... safe... right? But unless you are the packleader, you are a betamale.
Go your own way, be the alpha male, for real!
