I just came back from a party and I'm really pissed at myself. I went to the dancefloor with my friends and actually danced for the whole night and at the end I managed to isolate an Asian girl (in general I always have good cards with Asians - I think they like blond guys). For the first time in my life I danced alone with a girl and in the end they played Sinatra's "New York", so the dancing got pretty close. However, my dancing skills completely suck and I could see her loosing interest in me during the dance. It was actually her leading me instead of me leading her. At the end, she thanked me for the dance did like 2mins of smalltalk and then she said bye. I didn't even ask for her number or anything, but after the bad dance I didn't have the impression that I should have. What can I do about this? Should I take dancing classes?
Maybe there is also a general problem with my inner game in terms of taking chances with a girl: earlier this year I went to the cinema with another Asian girl and she gave me enough opportunities to hug her or do some kino (e.g. she covered her eyes during violent scenes etc.) but I never did anything. We had a great conversation and she was probably attracted to me but I didn't do ANYTHING.
I'm really angry at myself right now and I'd be immensely grateful for any suggestions for improving myself.

Learn a cool move, show her, then "push" her, and then tell her " lets grab a drink while you hold her hand" and leading to the bar... Youu have isolated and didnt need to dance. Work your magic and go for the K-close then you can dance as awfull as you can.

Thanks. The thing is I met her at the very end of the party on the dancefloor. We were dancing in a group, I was gettting some looks from her and at some point it was me dancing with her. At the end the music got very slow and the dancing closer and this is were the full extend of my bad dancing skills came to light.

Fixed. Plus, what came to light was not only your lame skills but your discomforture with them. See, there are lots of fools who can't dance for shit out there. But if they don't care (i.e. they are having fun being lame dancers) then nobody notices and it might even look good. In fact, in my experience girls actually dig it when a guy has no skill but is confident and has fun regardless. I mean, what do you think girls expect from you, professional dancing skills? Really, having no skills shows your inner game much better than being an awesome dancer as they are invariably gay or severely metrosexual anyway.

So to summarize, the solid options for dancefloor moves are gay, severely metrosexual or confident.

I am a lousy dancer. If I try to dance, people laugh at me. The worst part is that when I start dancing, guys start hitting on me... So, yeah, I am awful, and I'll take dance classes because I am going out with a lot of girls now and girls like dancing, so I don't have a chance, but to dance.

So, my advice is, take classes, you won't lose anything... Good luck man :)

dancing lessons are always good. plus their fun and it helps build build comfort and confidence around girls. when a slow song comes on though, just put your arms around her waist (they never pull back). once your there, you are always in control and more often than not theyll but their arms around your neck
and hey if all else fails dance with a smile on your face. that way it looks like your dancing badly on purpose

make fun of it!

just say " I'm a fucking terrible dancer ok!,seriously I make people cry when I dance"

and have a laugh this will take the pressure off. if you focus too much on not dancing well. she'll get that vibe.
