How long has it been since you texted her?
Your problem here is that you didn't give her a hook. By saying "My schedule is clear for the afternoon" you put the pressure on her to have to be the one who says "great, let's do something then," which girls don't want to have to do.
As the man, it is your job to make the plans and tell her what you will be doing, where you will be going, how you will be getting there, and at what time.
Instead of saying "My schedule is clear for the afternoon," you could have said something like "My schedule is clear for the afternoon and I've got a craving for a vanilla chai latte. Let's hit up Starbucks and get our caffeine fix." That has a plan of action involved and gives her something to grab onto.
If it has only been a couple of hours without a response, then just relax. You took several hours to respond to her, so she is going to do the same. If you don't hear from her, then just wait a couple of days and shoot her a playful, fun, flirty text.
Never text a girl "How are you?" or "How was your day?" or anything like that. It's boring and doesn't spark any emotion.
Thanks, and it was actually yesterday that this convo took place.
Haven't talked to her today...I figured I would incorporate some freezing out.
What kind of openers do you suggest for text game for the future?
