Dude. 5 of her friends fucking died. You can't make her feel better. Forget game, just be a decent person and be there for her.

Exactly, how about you be there for her and focus on her and her feelings and empathize with her with what she is going through...Just try to be there for her...

No escalate. Just be there, but don't be her shoulder to cry on. Try to reframe and lighten her mood.

When it comes to the loss of someone peoples psychological state are erratic and unpredictable. There is really very little that you can do to "make them feel better", a few things to remember when it comes to helping someone with the grieving process:

1.) appear that you are 100% comfortable, the more uneasy you are the more uneasy they are likely to become.

2.) avoid talking about yourself or making attempts to "know how they feel" this can be almost alienating or insulting to the person that is grieving.

3.) there are 5 stages of grief denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Be prepared to deal with all of these emotional states

4.) expect them to jump around to any of the above listed states without notice.

5.) some find physical contact comforting some don't, an arm across the shoulder or lightly rubbing the back should be fine, if they seem irritated or unexciting don't take it personally. (**for the love of god do not try to sexually escalate or the heavens will open up and the god will take your balls and for the rest of your meaningless existence you will be limp dicked and lonely)

6.) try to listen without interrupting

7.) if possible do something they enjoy to take her mind off things (again don't push)

I'm sorry to hear about the loss,

Best of luck, friend.

There is nothing wrong with being a shoulder to cry on. Forget any game 99% of people are not capable of feeling attraction in this state anyway. their brain chemistry is far too overwhelmed.

If she needs/when she needs to cry, be that shoulder, that's just being a good friend.

Good to hear

please don't edit posts after they've been posted (unless for spelling issues and such) the point of an open forum is to help people in similar situations as well

Thanks man
