ok, so most people in the community believe that social proof is a DHV. Well its not, take for instance a lot of cool people have a lot of friends, but like wise you can be a complete loser and still have a lot of friends. Having a lot of friends does not make you cool. Also when your in a club, no one knows who knows who except for the people you came with and who they came with. A majority of people who go to clubs are busy having a good time with friends and don't care what other people are doing, the only thing that matters is their perception of you if you decide to interact with them and thats what gets you laid.

It's like this. You want to be the king of your social group. If you are the king of a bunch of cool people, that's a DHV. If you are the king of a bunch of losers, that makes you the king of losers. (No DHV)

Women notice who you know and what not in clubs, etc. We do not understand because were men. They have an extra sense for this type of stuff.

Maenad i get you point but you are just not explaining your point right, social proofs helps a lot,(the cool guy that knows everybody) but you can achieve results without social proof, however is a bit harder than if you had the social proof. Now i see every weekend in club scenarios guys that are cool, with a lot of social proof, and i do way better than them, and i never see them hooking up, all they are focus on is their social proof... Your wings if they are chodes may bring you down with them, guilty by association. With that being said social proof is real and is a huge dhv..I do not like too much social proof, just enough, sometimes when you have too much social proof(this is my opinion, not a fact), you become less bold/aggressive since you think if you get rejected you will look bad..

The concept of social proof was an old MM theory based around the idea that someone with a history of high social value (normally conveyed through DHV stories) with have a higher social value in the eye's of the target. Social proof can also be conveyed through the strength of your social circle.


As far as general cold approach pick up goes I for one don't believe in calculated DHV stories nor do I think in most club situations does your social circle mean much. However in the case of merging groups having a solid group of people is very very helpful.

You: hey come over here for a second and lets talk
Her: I don't want to leave my friends
You: Oh, no worries I want everyone to meet my friends, bring them too.
(if you cant move her alone move her whole group, having good buddies to keep her friends comfortable and occupied opens another opportunity to isolate her)

A girl that thinks your cool and is comfortable with you, as well as see's you have cool friends and are comfortable with them makes her feel much more safe than with just you alone.

(this is not to say you cant have success without some cool buddies but it does help)

Hmmm, social proof or no social proof...

Social proof is important, you just dont understand what it is about.

Yes a loser can have friends and still be a loser, true. However, without any friends, you come off as a socially awkward psycho.

It is not as if just because you have social proof, girls will come up to you and offer themselves to you. It is not as if it is a thing that is attractive in itself. Rather, it is unattractive to not have it.

It is like brushing your teeth, its not gonna get you laid, but if you dont, there is no chance in hell.

No I explained my point very well. Just because you have a lot of friends does not make you cool. Growing up, I had a lot of friends and game before the community, I was the AMOG of my school. My point is that you can know a lot of people and still be a faggot, its not going to get you laid. I just think its unnecessary to get girls.
