Errr... Why was this thread created in the first place? I'm not knocking the concept, but it was laid out very poor. To answer your question, no, these forums did not get me laid. That happened quite a while back before I came. But then again, I believe individuals like me are the target audience of the forum. I'm assuming that most authors of PUA novels assume that the individual has at least some social experience.

I feel particularly bad for those who think that this forum will solve personal life issues. I've seen tons of those guys. To those whom this may apply, it would be much more relevant to read Psycho-Cybernetics than it would be to read "The Game". Unfortunately, I haven't seen much covered in the forums about "Self-Image". Undoubtedly self-image is the key to major PUA transformation. Without it, the person in question will fail. And this is inherently what I see on the forums. People talk more about "will power, man the fuck up, try new things" rather than "change your self-image, have courage, find what you are good at." The latter is a much more constructive analysis of an individual, and individuals are much more likely to succeed.

It would be much more positive to focus on your strengths than it would be your weaknesses. And up to this point I've seen perhaps two posters who made any mention of focusing more on strengths than weaknesses, Jav, and Kasabi (with some attitude of course). The rest of the forum is trapped in a Hodge posh of "fix your weaknesses". I am certainly not knocking this forum, because there are several great posts. However, the posts focusing on the negative self-image outweigh the ones focusing on the positive self-image. But again, this forum assumes that the individual has at least some foreknowledge of social skills. And this is generally where I think it breaks down.

If you are one of these people struggling with personal issues, not able to combat the self-image, then I would highly recommend you temporarily leave this forum and sort things out. It would prove much more productive for you to pick up a few self-improvement books than it would to pick up any PUA material. And the books I general recommend are:

- New Psycho-Cybernetics
- How to win Friends and Influence People
- The Power of Now
- 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

These books will change your life, even if you only do 10% of what these books say. Psycho-Cybernetics is perhaps the most important, even more important than the Power of Now. All PUA books in my opinion are add-ons to the principles in these 4 books.

exactly, thats the whole idea behind starting this thread. I realised there are many newbies who may get stuck in the forum as where to go and what to do? So many opinions, what to chose? What to leave? So i started this thread and as you can see not even a single person who gave the complete answer. I wanted to know how many guys got laid after accessing this forum because i felt this forum is not a good start for a newbie as i saw many newbies struggling. Here is a trend
1. Newbie comes and asks a question.
2. Too many replies
3.he gets confused and leaves without saying anything or leaves with a formal thanks
4. And then no one knows where that guy went, did he improve or not?
5. Yes. The forum requires you to have a basic understanding of the game

Biggest problem I see is more of them asking too many questions because they can't make up their mind. They need to pick what they want to work on and stick with that for at least 30 days.

ETA: If you’re on a mission to substantially change how the forum works, then you will not succeed. I get that this post is rooted in positive ideas, but you are asking too much of site owners and the administration to make structural changes. You need to have a clear idea of what exactly you want to change. And then if it is good enough, make a sticky out of it. That's the best way in my opinion.

I would have to disagree with this statement. There are some things out there that focus on adopting style to your personality, but it’s much more focused on deficit learning (fixing weaknesses ----> then enhancing strengths) rather than surplus learning (enhancing strengths----> diminishing weaknesses). However, I simply don't view it as the imperative of the site owners or their administrative staff to make any of these changes. It would be much more effective to direct new members to another community specializing in the specific problems they are dealing with. Or creating some sort of sticky which guides newer members to some good must read books if they are having "specific" troubles.
