Ive recently moved into a house with my old SPAM from last year (2nd year in uni SPAM) used to play Warcraft (bad I know) My one housemate because of how i was back then (is a loud cynical dick with a complex about being right (compensating for a stutter and a beer gut i think)) I would just like some suggestions on how to deal with him, since quitting WoW I've improved a LOT had a few girlfriends etc but This one housemate keeps putting me into that same rut of anxiety that hurts my mojo and confidence any suggestions guys?

Why do you even care of what he thinks or what he says?

I know what you're facing.

You know how you were "back then", and you know he knows how you were "back then".

So, in those bad old days he used to rile you up with his behavior and you would get riled up, but now you have "changed", haven't you?

You're not the same guy that you were "back then", so why get affected the way the old you would?

Comprende?

Next time he tries to 'put you in your place', tell yourself "I am not the same guy", smile at him and tell him that you know that he's left behind and did not change and that you know it pisses him off. That everybody moved ahead, and made things out of themselves and he's just been the same old, same old guy that he always will was, is and will be. That he's caught in a rut, stagnant through life.

Believe in your words, believe in your 'change' and you'll never worry about his words or his actions and you know why? 'Cause he won't know the new you.
