Field Report: Saturday 17th September

I can’t remember much from this night so it’ll be quite short. I met up with Jackal, Subzero and our new guy Wolverine in Weatherspoons again. Subzero had already opened a two set inside so Jackal told me to wing him whilst he got one of them numbers. Subzero and I went inside to open the two set which consisted of a red head HB7 and a brunette HB4. Subzero wanted the red head’s number so I just kept the brunette occupied. I found out she was at university trying to become a teacher. Teaching or training to become a teacher seems to be the most popular occupation from girls I sarge. Subzero managed to number close the red head pretty easily which was great:D .

My next set was an old-ish one set where I went in direct whilst Subzero and Wolverine were in a lesbian two set. She was flattered but was waiting for her boyfriend to come out of the toilet so I ejected lol. I approached several sets around paradise forum area but not much success. We decided to change venue this time and headed down towards Arcadian where we opened a few sets on the way. One particular thing Jackal made us do made me laugh. I approached a one set directly and she was flattered, but walked past me after the compliment. Jackal then got Subzero to approach. The same happened so Jackal got Wolverine to approach lol. The girl must have been like “WTF?!?! What’s up with all these guys saying I’m gorgeous?” lol.

We eventually got to the Mr Egg in Chinatown and grabbed a bite to eat. Subzero and I decided to approach a two set of black girls (HB5 and HB8) with the standard opinion opener. It hooked but whilst we were talking, one of the girl’s boy friend came out. He was absolutely MASSIVE!! He was like 6 ft 4 and had the same build as a rugby player. Subzero reacted quickly and included him in the conversation. We decided to leave after a minute or two since there was no chance of closing this set.

Dragon Inn was out next location where Subzero opened a three set sitting outside. The opinion opener hooked, but we didn’t have a place to sit down so decided to go inside and check out the sets. It was really packed out and was pretty much all mixed sets. We opened a three set with a two HB7s and a HB6. I found out that it was the start of fresher’s week for BCU so that’s why it was so packed. But this pub only seemed to be full of music students from BCU. Whilst in the three set some guys from their university started charging in and invading our set making it really difficult so we decided to eject. On the way out we saw Wolverine sarging a cute one set and found out that he managed to get her number. This guy has so much potential with his bubbly personality.

One particular incident made my day. Jackal saw a policeman thinking he was the man talking to three women so made Subzero Amog him. Subzero had so much balls for doing this, even I was scared for him lol.

Overall, this night wasn’t as great as the night before, but I guess not every night can be great. I believe state control may be the main key to my success.

Field Report: Saturday 24 September 2011:

After a long time of not actually going out with Jackal and my friends I decided to actaully join them. Things have been so busy lately that I haven’t really had the time to do any harcore practice. Instead I’ve been stuck at university reading about pedagogy. Either way I felt that it was high time I met with my friends again. I also wanted to practice approaching because this is something I haven’t done since I’ve been seeing someone more seriously.

The night actually didn’t focus all that much on approaching, instead Jackal told me to start arguing with him in the street and to start insulting him so that he could insult me back. I didn’t quite understand the purpose of this until we actually started getting into heated debates. The idea of this exercise was to give me a little hands on knowledge of how to deal with people invading my sets, which is still a problem sometimes, and to deal with the uncomfort of the social pressure as a result of standing out. As we argued people would look at us as they walked by, initially I felt very uncomfortable being faced with a barrage of insults to which I needed to respond whilst under the social spotlight. After a few minutes though the anxiety subsided as an understanding of why we were doing what we were doing began to blossom. I found it pretty refreshing to be once again pushed out of my comfort zone and doing something new. I always did and still do enjoy learning from Jackal.

Later on in the evening Jackal thought that I should go and approach girlfriend and boyfriends sets to practice getting quick on my feet with dealing with obstacles and distractions. Although I normally wouldn’t like the idea, for the purposes of learning something new I decided to go ahead with this. In fact I found all the encounters a lot of fun and very different. A boyfriend is easily the hardest obstacle I have encountered for reasons which are pretty obvious. Although I didn’t get any numbers I found myself becoming more and more quick witted and atuned to responses. I enjoyed this new challenge.

Later on during the night we were joined by Dolphin, who had decided to come along despite being very busy during the day. It was a real treat to see him again because it has seemed like a long time since we last met. A few minutes later we were met by Wolverine who had brought a girl out with him. It was really cool to meet him and we ended up forgetting about going into set and just relaxed and talked for a good half an hour.

Thereafter Dolphin and I briefly departed to go to Nuvo for a while. On the way we approached two hot girls. It was nice talking to them but they seemed a little too drunk for my liking. (I tend to like meeting girls in the daytime for this alcohol related reason.). It felt great being in Nuvo, we only approached one set, but all the girls were really hot and really friendly. I want to note also that I felt a sudden feeling of guilt tonight; I think perhaps it was as a result of getting a little more serious with one girl I’ve been seeing. It felt a little wrong of me to be approaching others…

In terms of approaching strategy, there is little for me to write, I feel like I pretty much know the score now. The main thing I want to make note of was the support from Jackal, Dolphin and Wolverine, you guys were all great, I always have a fantastic time with you guys. I hope to see you next week!

So I met up with the crew and Jackal had some new ideas. we sat down at the bridge and Jackal gave us all Butternut squash samosas. He said that it would give us Alpha male sents.

Next set was at the Shells Bar and jackal open at 3 set of men. I thought that I may as well go and open someone. I went to the bar and it was a 4 set. I told them they are fucking gorgous and they said that they knew and I shouldn't be talking to them. I went back to Jackal and he was number closing the men from his set. He told me it is always good to practice number closing on men. I told him about my set and Jackal was angry. He went over and said if they dont talk nicly he'll smack them on the bottom. One girl stuck her bum out and said go on. Jackal walked off and said we should not not mix with dirty girls.

My last set I got a number close. She was waiting at the bus stop. Me and Jackal appproched her. We talked to her for a long time. Jackal told her about his business and I told her about that Jackal is my boss and that's why I call him sir.
I asked for her number. She said will we go away if I give it to you?
She gave me the number and i rang it but it wasn't real. I went back and she gave me the correct number. I rang her this morning and she told me not to ring her.

I was pleased over all because I opened more sets than usuall and I got a number close.

This field report will contain as much of my thoughts as it does sets. I find posting on this thread a nice release and a way of organising my thoughts. At the moment i am still going out at night a lot, but it’s really having a negative effect on my body and subsequently my state. This is going to be my new approach to state control which hopefully will produce consistent results. I am going to quit smoking (something I keep putting off) and quit drinking. I never drink heavily only three drinks in one night, very light for a student, but since i am going to bars so much and will continue this, this is a much needed step. Also I vow to start up exercise regularly again and continue to eat very healthy. Lastly i need to regulate my sleep pattern to some extent. I have done these five components at the same time in the past, and I can confidently say it improves your life and mental well being. This is a public affirmation (thanks JACKAL for the idea), and will commence on Friday.

Anyway enough babble, onto the nights and that social game we all love to play! First thing to note is my observation skills and understanding of social situations is improving, I am able to see crude patterns in clubs and in the future will use this knowledge effectively. On Tuesday night my friend and I went to a house party for another friends birthday. It took a while for any set containing a girl to enter, but they soon flooded in. I opened a 2 set outside and my friend came into wing, this was a warm approach so no who lies more, I started light game, but left for the loo. As I re entered there where two more of my male friends there. The problem with this is I could not remain dominant in the set, and the girls body language was directed to them. However they made so many mistakes and ended up adding so much value to the girls, the set was blown on any possible romantic level.

Later we went to a 90’s night in a club. I noticed a one set in the club, and went in hooked and locked in, the girl was german and very pretty, see was giving me IOIs but after 5 mins her guy friend came back. I have lots of parts i need to work on. The first always ask for the number, I need some serious help with my sticking point- i need that sexual flirty vibe and to make me and the set and me comfortable with it (advice is welcomed). In conjunction with the last point, I need to push the interaction forward faster. I need to be a little more alpha in set as well.

Isn't smoking really alpha? THE JACKAL told me himself! Why would you want to stop smoking as then you'd be really beta? then they won't like you.
My personal advice would be don't ask for the number, tell her to give it to you it frames you in control. be like "You should give me your number" said with confidence and eye contact after building comfort she won't be able to get her phone out fast enough
Use more kino - if sitting, touch her leg when making a point or if standing her fore-arm. Let your touch linger for a bit when doing so, but never break eye contact and do it with naturally and with confidence, otherwise you will come across as a little creepy. Kino cements sexual comfort.

Is the first point a joke? on some level i hate to admit it but smoking looks partially cool although it's not worth it, some girls even list it as a 'turn off'.

Haha well it is kind of a joke because THE JACKAL posted on another forum that he smokes because it's Alpha. However I would say that smoking is a hinderance as a lot of non-smokers dont like smokers (reducing your target audience) however smokers will get with non-smokers!
The smoking area is however good-picking as it's usually quieter and people tend to be a lot more social. As a non-smoker I frequent smoking areas quite a bit
