My problem is definitely, definitely KINO escalation (and actually telling a girl I want to date her if I like her, because the latter is fairly rare, but that isn't germaine to the discussion).

I always feel relatively awkward when I try to initiate physical contact. What are the best ways to do this? Is there a particular strategy? I am going to try the "rethink of fear as excitement" thing - which is working well for me so far, but I've only done it in the AA phase (where I'll be honest, I'm actually pretty good at.)

Is there any particular way that tends to work well?

Touch the girl whenever! Right off the bat. You're a touchy guy. If you have her laughing or smiling and touch her upper body first, it's no problem. Slowly build up to around the shoulders, and cheek to cheek.

You have to Kino! Girls want to hang out with guy that gets them sexually attracted, and kino is key.

Start small. Loud environment works really well.

When opening, project your voice. If she talks, act like you cant hear her. Grab her by her lower back, pull her in to your side, let her go when she gets done talking. Build up on this to the point where you guys can kino each other without letting go of each other and feel completely comfortable.

The farthest I take it at bars of club is find a couch or set up against a wall, where we are just leaning on each other.

Touch it in the more appropriate areas first, like back, hand and then move on. If the girl calls you out, blame her for being so hot that you cant doing anything about it.

Kino is a lot about not being creepy, and acting as if touching a woman is something normal. The more you make a big deal out of touching her, the more uncomfortable she will feel once you do it.
