The girl that I have been seeing the last few weeks (ie. Dates, making out etc.) just asked me this question, now idk if I want us to be exclusive or not. For the last few weeks before I met her I was constantly thinking I want a girlfriend and stuff but now I am not so sure. I mean idk what I am afraid of, I mean this girl is awesome but idk, I have had my heart broken a few times and have kind of become accustomed to the single life (going to parties & one night stands and stuff) and dont know if I want something serious or not... Anyway this is how the conversation is going right now.

Her: I'm confused...what are we?
Me: Idk what do you think?
Her: I don't know Haha, that's why im asking!
Me: Idk either, lets see where it goes from here
Her: Well.. I don't want to just be like friends with benefits..

So idk what to say.. =\ I dont wanna hurt her and say i dont want something serious, but I also dont wanna hurt myself from being alone and missing out on an amazing girl =\

women want to know "what are we?"...

because a title gives power to her.

once you are a boyfriend,

you have to fit into all the boyfriend cliches.

the shit testing begins, etc.

The truth : Nowhere.

You say.. "I need to be honest. I am not looking for a serious relationship right now."

An honest answer does two things : Firstly, it will let her make an informed decision of the situation and where it should proceed and secondly, it will allow you to gauge her emotional maturity.

You can say that for now, you two are enjoying each other's company, and without future predictions, you'd like to see where things go.

Tell her that you don't like to be pressured into any kind of situation, and if she feels she need an immediate answer, she should reconsider for the sake of the interaction.

If she pushes too much it's obvious she wants you to commit. If you're not ready, don't do it.
