i dont agree,
how creative and unique could you be if you don't have a canned opener ??

CANNED means you made it sound as NATURAL and as a habit,
try em ;)
I absolutelly agree with you, the purpose of the opener is to have something prepared so that you can start a conversation. How it's used and it's results depend entirely on the user as well as the intention of it.

If you feel like you don't need one, fine. If you fell like having a dozen ready to use, fine. Get the idea?

This post has the intention of developing my own collection, not to debate the usefulness of them (I can tell they really serve their purpose, get two individuals talking).

A simple example of openers is this very same thread, I made it open for everybody so that I could have something to discuss with you, as well as learn from different points of views, and it turned out much better than I expected cuz we have Vitamin-J, who is against openers, and Mightyy, who has a similar point of view as mine.

Guess this would be a good opener for all sort of situations, l think it would be something like this:

"When it comes to seduction, should you prepare something to say or not?" And start the conversation by preparing some follow-up questions and comments about the same topic...

Do you agree, guys?

Well, I'm finally back to the forum after a hectic, overworked couple of weeks, time to get back to the game!

The opener I have had most success with is a variation on one of Mystery and Style's

"Hey, I have been arguing with my mate about something and need you to help resolve it, its pretty serious so you need to be honest, do you keep your ketchup in the fridge or the cupboard?"

Works amazingly every time

Really? Where is that one most effective? Bars? Coffeehouses? Clubs? Malls?

I have had success with it in clubs, bars, shopping places and just generally in town.

Works every time to start a conversation, especially if you have a friend with you, you can even open a set for your friend then send them over to argue their point after you know the set is viable.

Just both pick a side then go in and roll with whatever they say, you can neg them for not paying attention to the labels or paying attention for the labels (always doing what they are told).

Sounds challenging, specially when cross cultural issues arise (I actually live in Mexico AND am a mexican). Some of the material created by english speaking PUAs doesn't even get you close to a conversation, let alone full close. I'll give it a try over the next few days to tell you how well that works over here!

I hope it goes well for you, the best thing to do is pick something really trivial but that most people have an opinion on, then make it seem really serious initially and ask the question, what is weird is that most people don't even laugh at the joke, you have them so involved by the question that they just go with it.

Good luck.

So, the catch is to make it sound serious?

Yeah, good eye contact is important. But once I have asked the question and it has been answered a crack a smile and move onto something lighter, usually throw in a neg or two and just be more light hearted. I guess it works because of the contrast.

Well well, after several weeks of barely having any time at all to even read email, I've come back to pick up right where I left this topic.

So far I haven't been out because of job and school, as there was an awful lot of customers lately thanks to two congresses at my hometown, so I'll have to re-read all the material posted to resume activities...

Groups of girls are easy to deal with. Here's what I've discovered and works for me. Come in higher energy than you would for just one girl. You need to give these girls a reason to give you all their attention and not walk away. Basically, be entertaining. Secondly, look every girl in the eyes equal amounts while beginning the interaction. I've found that girls can be so catty, bitchy, jealous that if I give all my attention to one girl in the group there's almost always one hippopotamus girl in the group that will grab her friend and pull her away. The last piece of advice, be funny. Truly, if they like you and think you're fun then they will want you to stick around.
