Opened a girl I went to high school with on FB earlier and was shot down pretty hard. I still maintain that I played it right, but am curious if I can come back from this at all:

Me: I'm luring girls to the bar with candy. Which do you prefer, Skittles or M&M's?
Her: M&M's - peanut butter only.
Me: Alright, peanut butter it is, but I don't think you're ready for this jelly. ;) Text me
Friend: Ready for this jelly... Classic!
Her: I don't like jelly. Or texting. Thanks for playing! ;)
Friend: Snaaaaap!!!!

I'm thinking "I just wanted to get a hold of you to return the red shoes you left under my house. I'll just give them to your sister."

All in all, I think negging is a good play here. Problem is that it's gotta be c&f for sure since this is all public on her wall and we have a lot of mutual friends. Being rejected is fine, being humiliated is not (although I could always erase the post since I started it lol).

Well, the start was wrong and then, everything went downhill after that.

its ok bro i got shot down way harder than that im 18 a girl i went to elemantry added me she was my first crush ever we talket i was playful and funny she lol'd alot when i asket her out she said her parents didnt let her but i read on her wall like half an hour later her friend hooket her up with a date with onther guy and she deleted me but im not going to let one chick get me down

That as the most bullshit way to open a girl hahahaha.

You're doing it wrong. The key is to be direct and simple and genuine. From your opener, the girl can obviously tell you're just overcompensating.

ex: Hey I thought you looked interesting so I wanted to get to know you more.

That's pretty genuine, it's got a spark to it, and saves you time+brain power.
