Hi guys, I am a complete noob to the whole community, although I have read "The Game" and i am about to commence "Rules of the Game". Apart from "How to pick up girls", is there any other recommended reading material?

Any help is appreciated

I probably sound like a broken record on here, whenever anyone asks this question, but I really liked The Layguide, and Tariq Nasheed books are pretty good, too. The thing is just to read tons of different sources. Get as many perspectives as you can. And search on here for other topics just like yours. I guarantee there are many, and they'll all have their own suggestions.

Welcome to the forum!

If you are somewhat new to the community, Welcome. Glad you made the best decision of your life.

Here's the thing about books: There's no complete source of information out there.
No matter how much authors try to influence you to believe that their material is all you need, it will never happen.

There's just too many variables when it comes to human interaction.

Now that we got that out of the way, here are some general guidelines when it comes to books:

1. Try to read as much as possible: This is somehow counter-productive cause you will get saturated, but it's necessary for you to discover your Pick Up Style. Every person is different, and what works for someone may not work for you. Understanding that you need to find information that relates to your personality is the key.

2. Take notes: Every time I read a book, I take notes along the way. This will save you time, since you won't have to go back and look for specific information when you need some reference.

3. Read One book at the time: First read and understand the material you are trying to learn before jumping into other books. It will help you learn quicker.

4. Don't just buy books about Approach: There is a lot of sources that concentrate in your approach, completely disregarding your inner game. Inner game is the level of confidence in yourself, so if you don't learn how to improve that, you will be fighting a long and tedious battle.

5. Read reviews before buying books: Your money is precious, so don't just throw it away.

Now that you have some guidelines, here are some of my favorite books:

1. Double your Dating - David Deangelo (helps you a lot when it comes to relationships)

2. The Dating Black Book - Carlos Xuma (Carlos is an expert when it comes to inner game. Perfect for people starting in the community).

3. Get the Girl - Mehow (Mehow brings the fun side of approaching women.)

If you or anyone here wants more references, please send me a quick message or go to the "Recommendations" section of my website here: http://www.bosproject.com/step6.php?tid=pua

Hope I was able to help :)

Good luck champ.

I Defenitly agree on this altho there are alot of books tho...
but most frequently read are:

The Recommended Reading

These are many books that aspiring PUAs can check out, all of which can help you in various ways. Each book will offer you different slices of information that will help you on this journey through pickup. Some of these books are available only in paperback, some only in ebook form, and some both:

1. The Game by Neil Strauss - A detailed memoir of one man's unique journey through the seduction community.
2. Venusian Arts Handbook by Mystery - Explains Mystery Method, the most widely taught method of pickup today, made popular by Neil Strauss's "The Game" and the VH1 reality TV-show series, "The Pickup Artist."
3. Body Language by Allan Pease - Explanations of better body language and proper posture.
4. Awaken the Giant Within by Anthony Robbins - Inner game help and positive motivation.
5. Real World Seduction by Swinggcat - Teaches "being the prize" and using tension to seduce.
6. Introducing NLP by Joseph O'Connor and John Seymour - An introduction to NLP and more importantly effective communication skills regardless of what method you're using.
7. Secrets of Female Sexuality by David Shade - for powerful sexual framing.
8. My Secret Garden by Nancy Friday - for a look into the female mind on fantasies.
9. The Attraction Code by Vin DiCarlo - An excellent in-depth guide on how to think in terms of attraction and becoming a natural.
10. The Way of the Superior Man by David Deida - What it means to be a man.
11. The Zen of Meeting Women by Max Weiss - A nice, easy-going guide to natural game that combines Zen Buddhism with pickup.

...And that's just a starter list.

***DISCLAIMER ON BOOKS*** - Reading any books related to pick up will only fill your mind with information. You will never truly progress if you do not go out and actually talk to women.

Also best of luck with figuring out the best game for you and hope you get what you want out off it

I'd suggest Mystery Method especially if you read The Game and Rules of the Game

Thanks for the warm welcome and all the advice; I've already made quite a few notes from "The Game", including my interpretation of a cheat sheet.
I have a copy of "Body Language" at my previous house, which I've read several times, and although it offers a wealth of information, from my (limited) experience, isn't infallible.

Tonight will be my first time attempting to put the methods I know of to use, so here's to my luck and game!

Thanks again

If you're looking to boost your confidence. I'd recommend Paul McKenna's self hypnosis tape/cd 'Supreme Self Confidence'. I use it once or twice a week at bed time:

a, because it subconsciously boosts your confidence
b, because it helps me to relax at night and therefore sleep better

:)

Good luck tonight. As mentioned before by the other user, reading books can help, but going out there and trying is what really helps you grow. If you are already willing to experiment, you are in the right path.

Let us know about your first experience. :)

I'd heard a lot about the McKenna tape before I got it. Lots of people have said it makes a difference.

Steve G Jones - Charisma Self Hypnosis track is also quite good.

And, when all the going out too often to pick up girls starts to have an impact on your bank account, Steve G Jones' Control Spending Self Hypnosis tape may come in handy...
