Hey guys, I have noticed a certain pattern to my breakups and I am wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar and if so, what they did about it. In short, I have noticed a general increase in anxiety in the weeks and months after pretty much every breakup; even worse, sometimes I even find myself self-sabotaging conversations, especially with girls, by saying something really stupid - I know how dorky and socially devaluing it is but I say it anyway. It happened tonight for example, I don't even want to post it because it's plain embarrassing. I don't consider myself a PUA but on nights out my friends often say I have talent, so I know I can do better than this!

I am still trying to figure out the messed up underlying cause but at the moment I am leaning towards guilt, possibly because I know my ex got hurt in the breakup and now my subconscious is trying to compensate/punish itself by sabotaging my efforts with other girls? I'm no psychologist!

I hope I'm not the only one getting this!
Get back to me brothers x

Yes because when you just break up and is recent, you still have feeling for the ex, and you compare everybody to the ex and she comes on top, so you start second guessing the break up, all subliminal. That is what usually happened to me... My opinion, no scientific.

That's a perfectly normal reaction. Fuck it, apart from four or five girls I've killed every conversation myself. And that include real bad shit test questions and bitch shield remarks. But when you meet that girl that really interests you it will go better.

First breakup is always a nightmare. It took me at least 6 months to really get over it and get my confidence back. It's tough but like you said, just push through! Get rid of everything that reminds you of her - photos, texts, gifts etc. Hang out with your buddies and take up a new hobby possibly - do not be tempted to sit at home and sulk, this will only prolong the bad feelings.

Sincerely,
C

I am a big fan of technology and skills, that is why my pua name is skills, if i want to learn pu, i get my hands of as many books of experts that i can get, if i want to learn anything always to the experts... my point is go to amazon or google type break up books, look at the ratings, and get yourself couple of books on the subject, to understand, the psychology, the feelings you are experiencing etc...The worst place to get relationship and break up advise is any pua forum... Trust me, this guys do not have a clue...Ex. Mystery
