A major question on how to "Pick Up" women in a shool setting.

First, a story.

Just started University. I go to my first class and sit between two women, and the teacher goes from one end of the room to the other, getting people to introduce themselves and what they did this past summer. It comes to my turn and I say my name and I say that I went to the Selena Gomez concert. However, I fail to mention that I went with my little cousin. Right off the bat I'm thinking, "I just DLV'd myself".

We take a five minute break afterwards, and this women sitting beside me (lets call her Jane), says, "So you went to the Selena Gomez concert?". I respond by clarifying that I took my little cousin, to which she went "awww. Thats so sweet". I realize the obvious DHV spike that I just used, and suddenly I'm relieved. Jane then says, "I have a 10 year old, of my own". I look at her with an awkward glance, and she immediatley realizes her wording, and laughingly says, "I mean I have a 10 year old sister!!! Oh my god!!". I joke a little bit about it, and we both end up laughing. I ask her where shes from (a conversation starter that I absolutely hate), and she asks me where I'm from.

Class then resumes. Then, at the end of the class, just as shes about to leave, she says "See you next week".

1) What just happened, from a PUA perspective?

2) The next time I am in this class with her, what are my next moves? What are my options?

3) How do you "Pick Up" a women in a University/College? Either in the halls or in the classroom?
