(1) Starts with a quote and a basic opening question: They say that music is the soundtrack to your life, what songs would you say make up your soundtrack?
This opener works well in music-oriented venues (dance clubs, music festivals, etc).
(2) A spin on the old Maury Povich/secret admirer opener that brings it into the 21st century. The original jist is to approach target with the statement that a friend has gotten an invite to the show and is afraid - then followed by asking the target if they have the guts to go on the show to learn who their secret admirer is. The spin is that instead of Povich being the show I say that I've been working on/worked on a new reality TV show/web series that's about secret admirers and the show takes on a Big Brother/Blind Date/etc type feel.
Women enjoy trashy reality TV so the opener's a great way of starting up a convo. This one's a tough one since there's quite a bit on content to say. Works better if the PUA know the inner workings of the film/TV/entertainment industry, in case the target asks questions about the behind the scenes topics. _________________ The set is my canvas, the lamps are my brushes, and the light is my paint ...

Since I work in the film industry it does come to me easy, I still feel (as I mentioned in the post) that it's quite the mouthful to begin with. But it can be good set opener and negging the target can be incorporated into it.
I personally like openers that are quick and straight to the point, but it never hurts to trial-and-error openers to see what's working. _________________ The set is my canvas, the lamps are my brushes, and the light is my paint ...
