OK, so this is a routine due to my hair color, which is dyed red at the front. I field tested this today, and it worked like a charm - it got laughter out of the set. But I'm not sure if it's good? I'll get to that at the bottom, first the routine.

"You wanna hear the story of how I got my red hair? OK. So my friends and I were at the bar, having a few drinks, and we get into a conversation of what color represents each of us best.
So they get around to me and they literally couldn't decide what color would suit me best. One said green, the other said yellow, and I was like, yeah...I guess yellow is nice, but it's a bit gay (laugh).
Then all of a sudden my ex-girlfriend walks into the bar, and I remembered, she DESPISES red. (LAUGHTER). And that's when I knew, red is for me. So I dyed my hair so she doesn't come close to me."

OK, so here's the deal. The routine is based on pre-selection. and it got laughs. But what I'm not sure about is if this is actually a good DHV. As in, it shows I have a bad relationship with my ex. Would I want to bring that across, or rather not?

Is that part of A3 or C1?

I would rethink this one. First you asked them if they wanted to hear a story- not so good.

This routine needs to be at the tail end of attraction building, say 10 minutes in. I would say something like:

"Holy shit, look at you eyeballing my hair! Didn't your mother ever teach you not to stare. Kidding, kidding.(kino push/pull) Actually funny story...So..(really start speaking slow) I had the girlfriend, who HATED the color red. So I kept that ya know...in the back of my mind. It didn't work out between us, whatever, I had to give her deuces...plus what kind of girl doesn't like red? Haha....anyway

So- one day my friends and I are sitting around...ect ect ect....that's how it should be- just my opinion. It's kind of a boring story, but if you sell it- it could be great.
