Hey guys don't take this too out of context! Laughing and smiling and having fun at the bar with your buddies is extremely attractive to females. They still like to see a guy that knows how to have fun.

YES. Don't smile too much, definitely don't if it feels fake, but if you're the guy that looks sullen all the time you won't get anywhere, especially because it means you're thinking about what girls are looking at you.

The trouble with these studies are that they all show pictures. I'm positive that a video of a guy having fun and laughing/smiling would be more attractive than the guy sitting at the bar trying to be sexy.

Okay i think you are misunderstanding, in my opinion what we are trying to get at is smiling at the OPENING FACE, when INITIALLY APPROACHING! that is what i am referring too, specially in a club... Having fun, laughing by yourself with your friends is a dhv, if not fake, natural or in the moment...

Oh no I totally get it but I think a lot of people are confused by it. Yep totally agree.

Well, there are a lot of PUA-people/articles that say that having fun is the most important thing to (attract) a woman.

Smiling is having fun so everyone thinks that it's good to smile all the time.
Maybe the PUA's experienced it as attractive when a woman smiled at them, so they just went with their own experience, although sexes are opposite.

I tend to find it hard to know when to laugh and when to show enthusiasm in a conversation. I mean, I always laugh AT a girl when she does something funny, but in a ah-how-cute-way, so while I turn my head I just grin a little. As for enthusiasm, I think you can never show to much in a conversation. IMO enthusiasm gets associated with neediness or overinvestment in a conversation, in which you leave the girl in a position that she has to be won over. And that's not a good frame.

Especially opening a girl. You're not a clown that goes to entertain people and make them laugh. Ofcourse they will laugh because you're a clown, but does it create attraction?

Smile when you want to. Period.

If you look like a poker faced dealer there wont be a sense of warm and enjoyment. Like its been well stated by many experts statistics are highly misleading and out of context. The article may hold truth to them. Women who took this test did so while looking at pictures and not actually interacting with men, but to make it clearer look at it this way...

Smiling is your friend when you are gaming any kind of woman, if you have a nice smile then abuse it! and it makes them think that you are happy to see her, she will be mirroring your moves, she will smile back also.. why not smile? it makes you look like a happy person!
