So i've moved back home to Bournemouth for a year to take a year out from University. I'm starting to see friends that i haven't been in contact for a few years. Last night i went out and found a 2set with a solid HB9 and a HB7.5. So i went up and opened, paying more attention to the HB7.5, negging the HB9, the works. After 5 mins the HB7.5 said she was gagging for it and was ready to go home.
Naturally though i was more interested in the HB9, and my routine seemed to be working, i isolated her and we were chatting about the AMOG's that kept coming up to her and trying to chat her up 'the wrong way'. She said that she had been seeing someone recently but it was a bit up in the air at the moment. I started negging the guy and asked his name on the off chance that i knew him.
It turned out to be one of my old best friends! Who i hadn't spoken to in a while but i am hoping to meet up with now i'm back.
Just terrible luck i guess, in a fairly big city, but after that i didn't want to do anything out of respect. Also by this time HB7.5 had left with someone else. So after that my game was kind of thrown and i left empty handed after such a promising start to the evening.

I found it hard to get my game back after that happened, anyone know how i would prevent this? tip/tricks for next time?

Cheers
RapidJB

Dude, props to you for not gaming your old buddies girl! That's rare nowadays. Way to go.

As far as getting back into your frame after you get thrown out...Force yourself to do some soft openers to get back to a talkative state. Use high fives, asking what time it is, bumming cigs, etc. this should get you back to where you started the night, frame-wise. You isolated the 9, so your game must be working a little. Good luck and happy hunting.

Glade

After losing your game like that, my strategy would be to get a drink, go to the dance floor and dance like you don't care. That usually picks up my energy. I'm still a newbie though, but this would work for me

A deflating experience. But there will be more opportunities. If you see the HB9 again you can pick up where you left off (don't forget her name).

Cheers for the comments guys.
Yeah i'll try easing back into it slowly next time! Yeah i would never do that to a friend but i don't think he's spoken to her in a while. Plus she added me on Facebook and started talking to me, so i must have been doing something right!
Thanks for the replies!
