I have an issue opening girls unless I am with people. If I am around a crowd of people I can command the attention of the group, however if I am by myself I tend to stutter. Or I can open them and then I stick right there on the building trust. Pro tips welcome.

don't talk to the whole group.. talk to a person at a time..

look first at the first person... then after a few seconds look at another person from the group. that's how you talk to a group

I think Beyond misread. But that's good advice for talking to a group!

I think the problem is most likely that you feel that when you're in a group, it's less personable. You're commanding a group, and it's like a performance. When it's just the girl, she knows you're zeroed in on her, so you feel like she may be judging you as you speak.

It's just like how major performers may never get stage fright, but if they're performing for their family of ten, it becomes much more personal instead of a sea of "empty" faces, so they can get freaked out.

Does this sound right?

That's pretty much it Fresh. I tend to get a little shy around one or two people. Sometimes I even feel like I am scaring them (I'm a big dude) again, unless I am with a group. If I am with a group it's easy, women will open me. This will also happen if I am hanging out at a place with a group and walk away.

Hm. Best thing I can think of at the moment is to just practicespeaking with girls, starting with no intention. Meaning talk with girls you're interested in, but don't even go for a number or anything. I'll keep thinking, though...

Thanks Fresh. Don't think too much though man I am getting ready to go off to basic training for the army, so any issues I have now will be beat out of me by then and I may come back with a whole new set of issues But I doubt that.

If anything I will come back better then before and in Uniform.
