Yeah I was on the fence about the picture with mom. I know I definitely need to get me a picture having fun with an attractive female for sure that isn't related to me...ha.

Yeah thanks for the tip on the header heard that already. I will change that now thanks. Any suggestions the header is limited in how many letters you can use. :/

The Mom photo is an outdated tool now, It really has to go.

I need better photos but I havent got around to actually doing it yet but OK cupid has a feature called 'my best face' Its a better version of rate my picture but instead of being designated a rating out of 10 you get compared to other people. Its been invaluable and I have learned a lot from using it which I will point out below.

- dress smart
-look mysterious
-DON'T smile
- don't look directly into the camera look as if you are looking off into the distance just off the shoulder of the person taking the photo
- Topless if you have a nice body but not one of those phonepics taken in a bathroom mirror it has to be something like riding a jet ski or something like that.

I have to disagree. I think pictures smiling is a MUST. It sens the vibe that you are fun and know how to have a good time. I am not saying having pictures of not smiling is a bad thing but I would always have a smiling picture as my main photo.

I agree about the photo with my mom. I am currently working on trying to get a similar picture but replacing her with a hot girl. I am trying to stay away from any IMO douchey methods such as having pictures of me with my shirt off and coming off as arrogant. I have found it doesn't work with me...to be quite honest I think you have to have a certain level of physical attractiveness to pull that off because from my experience those methods have worked against me.

Well I agree it goes against logic but then again so does 90% of pickup in general.

I don't see why they would be biased in any way and they would have nothing to gain by lying to us seeing as they want their site to be successful which would mean successfully dating. And again the claimed number of interactions or one girls opinion?
what we could do is a test if you want to participate and see what the results are. Should be easy enough to do. One profile smiling one without and apart from that exactly the same.

A good smile is hot, and draws attention. REMEMBER a lot of people on okcupid could have a yuck mouth. In that case cover those plaquey tarter collectors up. YUCK!
