I got a girl back to her apartment, and since it had been a long night, I said I needed to take a quick shower. She said that was a weird thing to do, several times, but I didn't think it was that weird, is it?

Nah, i have used that line before as well, its alot easier to pull of if you are at your own place.
The girl gave the same response to me though she said "thats a little creepy" and laughed it off, so i responded "no the creepy thing would be you following me in there"
a Few mins later she was in there with me.

I dont think its odd, it seems like a good set up to me!
