act like you are not sure if this bus is going to where you want it to go, ask her if she know,

yes: oh thanks, I once was in the wrong bus, bla bla (Canned DHV story)

I don't know: hope for good to me, I once was in the wrong bus, bla bla (Canned DHV story)

I must disagree. Don't do the whole "durr IDK where I'm going I get lost so much". Instead, try to befriend the bus charger, or whatever it is in your country. Works wonders.

Saying you don't know where you're going is a massive DLV spike.
Also, where i'm from (Australia), only people with down syndrome have conversations with the bus drivers lol. And i'm actually being serious.

I'd whip my phone out, pretend i'm talking to my friend and debating something of importance (could also be something stupid), stop mid convo to shoot out an opinion opener to the HB, then carry on from there :)

wow i dunno i feel like that is so fake, i'd never feel comfortable with that cuz i would know i am not being myself, pretend to talk on the phone...and then just stop and ask, ahh it feels sooooo canned.

You: "Hey are you familiar with this busline? I'm meeting up with some friends to go do *something awesome* and I was kind of wondering what time we get there"

Her: "Yes, where exactly is it that you need to be" or "No"

Not important which. If No, proceed directly. If Yes, be nice and sit out her answer. Regardless her answer she'll want to check the time for some reason. Neg her gently on her watch/phone and try to get some kino going while doing that.

You: "Hey about my friends, one of them... *insert opinion opener*"
