I agree that clubs are tough - Gambler says that he uses body language more than vocals to get a woman interested, but I haven't been able to do that personally. If you're having trouble with larger sets, get a wing and go for a 2-set. Either both of you go for it, or have your wing distract the friend, and try and get chatting. I couldn't believe it but last night I had luck with the opener "Do I seem gay to you? Some guy outside just grabbed my ass...wtf..." - I never in a million years thought this would work lol.
Remember that when you're going for a set, not only do you have to get the target's approval, but also the set. Targets will always ask their friends what they think, and they may not even be considering leaving unless the set urges them to - which is what happened with me last night! Her friend told her to go home with me, and that's exactly what happened.
If you're really having problems, then avoid clubs - simple as. Work the bar game - also remember that the clubs end eventually - outside a club you still have a shot, and the music is gone!
